Ideals will hold you back; grace will lead you forward.

  • The day may change, but God doesn't. The sun moves west; shadows fall, as does the light. But even then, He is there with new mercies. When anxiety looms like the moon, and I don't finish all I want to do. And the weight of the day is behind, and before me, He is still there.

  • We lose when we weather the storm; instead of mourning the ideals we lost. In attempting to prevent pain, we risk closing ourselves off. Putting one foot in front of the other gets the job don't for a while. But when we are trying so hard to trudge through the mud and the muck, we miss God parting the sea, making way for an exodus.
